An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer at Meadows & Co a great law firm based in Weybridge.
Main purpose of the job
Our firm is expanding, and we are seeking a motivated and detail -orientated Paralegal to join our Commercial Property department.
You will be responsible for proactively assisting the team with a high-volume caseload, dealing directly with client queries daily and assisting the team on all matters on a day-to-day basis. Matters are often for prestigious housebuilders, to investors with large portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of commercial property contracts and agreements.
- Conduct legal research and provide support on a variety of commercial property transactions.
- Liaise with clients, providing clear and concise legal advice.
- Assist in the management of property portfolios, including acquisitions, disposals, and leases.
- Support senior lawyers in the preparation of legal documents and reports.
- Attend client meetings and assist in the development of client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Person Specification
- Strong academic background with a degree in law (LLB or equivalent) or relevant experience
- Previous experience within commercial property law is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills that support an ability to work with a high degree of attention to detail whilst at the same time productively managing a large volume of work to stretching targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and provide exemplary client care.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Flexible attitude to work such as a willingness to act appropriately to meet unexpected demands, including the ability to prioritise own work under pressure.
Salary
Starting £35k+ dependant on experience
