Patrons

Patrons of the Surrey Law Society work in partnership with us on a variety of exciting initiatives.  Their invaluable support allows us to provide a great number of benefits to the membership, including an extensive programme of training and development, both in person and online, a series of excellent social events and the annual Awards programme.  We are extremely grateful for their continued support.

Becoming a patron of the Society gives organisations the chance to enhance their visibility and reputation within the Surrey legal community, as well as offering them the opportunity to network with professionals at our prestigious events and engage with potential buyers in a variety of forums. The Society is committed to ensuring our patrons receive significant value for their support and work together with our partners to guarantee an agreement that suits both parties.   A number of packages are available to fit different budgets and priorities for the partnership.

Property Conveyancing Consultancy (‘PCC’) was created in 2015 by Priscilla Sinder, a property solicitor, who noticed the lack of attention, dedication and resources some firms were giving to post-completion duties. In a bid to change this mindset Priscilla started a journey to offer high quality post-completion outsourcing services, conducted by UK based professionals.

This foundation allowed PCC to grow from strength to strength allowing Priscilla to examine conveyancing in greater detail where she desired to offer PCC’s quality to firms who executed their own post-completion work. This sowed a further seed for PCC where the birth of PCC’s Education Hub (‘Hub’) was born.

The Hub was developed to enhance any conveyancing practitioners’ knowledge in post-completion duties by creating an extra layer of technical knowledge and confidence to the industry, in turn raising standards across all elements of post-completion work. The Hub is designed to target best practice in post-completion, not only for post-completion staff but extends to fee earners as well, of all levels.

The selection of courses has been created against the backdrop of HM Land Registry practice guides, infused with tips and bite-size key points, providing certainty and confidence in each practitioner’s ability when submitting applications to HM Land Registry. The ethos behind the Hub is to exemplify how post-completion tasks are entwined at each stage of conveyancing, thus liberating the theory that post-completion is simply an afterthought in conveyancing.

DevAssist is an award-winning business that analyses locations for development risk, and are research experts in property, planning and development.

Planning data, local and national planning policies, and Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments (SHLAAs) are complex to interpret. Development risk is not always easily identified, and the proximity of planned developments to a property is not always clear. DevAssist is the only business in the UK analysing this information and assessing both;

  • The real risk of development in a given location.
  • The development potential of the subject property and site.

Our findings are used to create bespoke reports that provide a real picture of development change happening locally.

  • Simple to purchase, buy direct or via your solicitor
  • Quick turnarounds and fast track service available
  • Affordable
  • User-friendly
