PAST EVENT: This event took place on Thursday 6th June 2024

Presenter: June Venters KC, Venters Solicitors

Join us for a critical session designed to deepen your understanding of coercive control and its impact within family dynamics. This event, tailored for family law practitioners, will examine the complex mechanisms that abusers use to manipulate, dominate, and isolate their victims. You’ll learn to identify the subtle signs of coercive control, from controlling behaviours and psychological manipulation to economic and emotional abuse. By gaining insights into these patterns, you can better advocate for survivors and ensure they receive the legal protection they need.

Our expert speaker will share real-world examples, discuss relevant legal frameworks, and explore best practices for addressing coercive control in family law cases. This session aims to equip you with the knowledge and tools to recognise and respond to coercive control, ultimately supporting your clients through the challenging journey of seeking justice and safety.
