New Partners at KWW Solicitors as David Anstee Steps Back

KWW Solicitors has announced a new equity partnership team following the retirement from full-time work of former managing partner David Anstee.

David, who was also head of KWW’s Family Law department, joined the East Molesey firm in 1997, became a partner in 2003 and had been senior partner since 2018. He will remain with the firm in a consultancy role.

The firm’s new partners are Karen Starkey and Tariq Phillips, who join long-standing partner Salvatore Sole, one of Surrey’s leading property solicitors with over 20 years at KWW.

Karen Starkey becomes the first female equity partner in KWW’s 73-year history. Well known locally, Karen began her legal career at KWW before moving to another Surrey firm. She returned to Walton Road in 2025 to lead the Private Client department, specialising in wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate.

Tariq Phillips joined KWW in 2025 and is a highly experienced commercial property solicitor, acting for private individuals and businesses across a wide range of sectors including offices, restaurants, bars, industrial units and retail premises.

Reflecting on his time at the firm, David Anstee said:
