Surrey Law Society is pleased to present a breakfast briefing in collaboration with Allica Bank and Teal Compliance exploring two significant developments currently affecting law firms and legal sector compliance.
Hosted at The Ivy Castle View in Guildford, this discussion based session will provide practical insight and open conversation around emerging regulatory and operational issues facing firms.
Topics will include:
• The Ministry of Justice’s proposed reforms relating to Interest on Lawyers’ Client Accounts (ILCA), including discussion around the direction of travel, operational implications for firms, and the potential impact on the client account market
• The proposed transfer of certain regulatory oversight responsibilities from the SRA to the FCA and what this may mean for firms and compliance teams
