Let’s Keep the Generosity Going for the Dylan Strong Foundation
Following the generosity of guests at the 2026 SLS Legal Awards, we’re inviting the wider Surrey legal community to help us continue supporting a very special local charity.
At this year’s SLS Legal Awards, our guests helped raise an incredible £2,000 for the Dylan Strong Foundation, a small Surrey charity with big ambitions.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was hearing from Louise Long, who, together with her husband Darren, established the Foundation in memory of their son Dylan, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged just seven.
Based in Tadworth, the Foundation provides nutritious meals, healthy snacks and practical support to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families, both at home and in hospital.
From delivering meals to families struggling to manage everyday life alongside treatment, to providing healthy food for parents staying at their children’s bedsides, their work is making a real difference at an incredibly difficult time.

Our guests were so generous on the night that Louise and Darren simply couldn’t get around everyone who wanted to support the raffle. We’d love to give those who missed the opportunity, and the wider Surrey legal community, the chance to get involved.
We know how much our member firms and individual members already do for charities and good causes, something we regularly celebrate in Surrey Lawyer and which was especially evident in the nominations for our new Community Impact Award this year.
But having heard Louise and Darren’s story and learned about their ambitions, we’d dearly love for Surrey’s legal community to do what it can to support this wonderful local charity.

Thanks to a very kind offer from G Live, we’re also giving one supporter the chance to win two tickets to a show at G Live as part of our continued fundraising efforts.
Everyone who makes a donation through our dedicated SLS fundraising page by 20 November 2026 will automatically be entered into the draw. Please ensure your name is visible when donating so we can identify your entry.
Alternatively, you can enter for free by emailing the Surrey Law Society office by 20 November 2026. No donation is necessary, and all entries will have an equal chance of winning.
Prize draw terms and conditions
- The prize draw is organised by Surrey Law Society.
- The prize is two tickets to a show at G Live, Guildford, subject to availability and confirmation of the eligible performance.
- The draw closes at 11:59pm on Friday 20 November 2026.
- Anyone who makes a donation through the dedicated SLS fundraising page during the promotional period, with their name visible to the organisers, will be automatically entered.
- Free entry is available by emailing the Surrey Law Society office with the subject line “G Live Prize Draw” before the closing date.
- No donation or purchase is necessary to enter or win.
- One entry per person, regardless of donation amount or entry method.
- The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries and contacted after the closing date.
- The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.
- Personal information provided for the draw will be used to administer the competition and contact the winner.
