IgnitED is a mission‑led education provider delivering high‑quality, real‑world career learning programmes for young people. The Law Summer Programme in Guildford is designed to give students meaningful insight into the legal profession, combining practical experiences with direct access to professionals working across the sector.

IgnitED are inviting members of Surrey Law Society to get involved by contributing to the programme through a 90‑minute workshop or masterclass. These sessions are a chance to share your expertise, demystify legal careers, and help students understand how the law operates in practice.

What involvement could look like

Sessions are interactive and flexible, and might include:
.

• Exploring a real‑world legal scenario or case study, with students taking on different roles
• Hosting a visit to your workplace or offering insight into how legal environments operate day‑to‑day
• Sharing your career journey and outlining different pathways into the profession
• Discussing how the law shapes everyday situations, from housing to social media
.

The IgnitED team can support you in shaping a session, or adapt an existing workshop you may already deliver.

Time commitment

One 90‑minute session (workshop or masterclass)
Preparation can be minimal, with support from the IgnitED team if needed
.

Key dates

Programme runs: 3–7 August 2026 (Guildford)
Priority session dates: Wednesday 5 August and Thursday 6 August
Session times: 11.30–13.00 or 14.00–15.30
Flexibility is possible where needed to accommodate availability

This is a valuable opportunity to support local young people, broaden access to the legal profession, and showcase the range of careers within it. IgnitED will also highlight your involvement across their school newsletters, social media, LinkedIn and website, and provide access to IgnitED’s impact data for use in ESG and CSR reporting.
