Surrey Law Society has been contacted by a member of the public seeking information about the former firm of solicitors Brooks and Partners, which was based in Frimley and is believed to have ceased trading in or around 2022.

The enquiry relates to the possible whereabouts of client documents, including a will and property deeds, which may have been held by the firm prior to its closure. The individual concerned is acting as attorney for an elderly client and is seeking to establish whether there was a successor practice or alternative arrangements made for the storage of client files.

Surrey Law Society does not currently hold information regarding the firm or the location of any archived client papers. However, we are inviting members who may have knowledge of Brooks and Partners, any successor firm, or file storage arrangements to get in touch.
