The Law Society Practising Certificate Fee Consultation 2024/25

15th April 2024

The Law Society is proposing a 5% rise in its share of the annual practising certificate fee and is seeking the views of members on a £4.20 increase for individual solicitors in 2024-25.

.

The representative body is the second year of a three-year Corporate Strategy which set out four objectives for 2022 to 2025. They are:

  • promote the value of the profession and provide a compelling member offer;
  • protect the justice system and make sure it applies to everyone equally;
  • maximise our potential by growing our commercial reach, by being efficient and sustainable;
  • be an employer of choice for people who want to make a difference.

The Law Society are inviting all members to complete the 10-minute survey, which can be found here, before 24th May.  Those who complete the survey, will be entered into a draw to win a £100 voucher.

By taking part in this consultation, members are able to tell The Law Society what their priorities are for 2024/25 and beyond, as the organisation begins to develop its 2025-2028 corporate strategy.
